So I noticed a while back that ever_neutral 's birthday was coming up! And because I've been looking for any excuse to post something (it is unbelievably stressful having multiple videos just sitting on my computer, all dressed up and no where to go), I thought this would be a good time to make something just for her.

I spent 8 hours on this today. and it's barely over a minute long. but it's your birthday, so i give you the spuffy.
this video is part happy birthday! part thank you! for beta-ing a vid for me (which I WILL complete soon lol) and part just because you're AWESOME like that! :) *hugs*

Description: I've always wanted to vid to an instrumental peice, and while it's not completely instrumental it was still a welcome challenge. I also switched the lyrics around to fit my purpose.

ok I'm back. and am in love with your viiiid. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS GORGEOUSNESS.

firstly, I love the way you've mixed the music. the lyrics are ALL TOO APPROPRIATE for these kids. and the imagery, the juxtaposition of the clips, you're always so thoughtful with this stuff, watching your vids is a REWARDING EXPERIENCE. (provided you are also an obsessive shipper which, hello.) and I ADORE the sections with the lightning-fast b&w clips over the colour, especially that first moment with Spike fighting that fire demon. sob. and the editing is all flawless and i can't believe you spent EIGHT HOURS ON THIS JUST FOR ME. WAHHHHHH. I AM NOT WORTHY OF YOUR TALENNNNNT. (WE ARE ALL NOT WORTHY.)

I felt so bad that I'd asked for beta help and you offered and I kept teasing you with more and more of a video that I have totally spaced about and still haven't completed! and then I saw your birthday was coming up and at first I was gonna make you some icons, and then I've totally been on a roll with making the spuffy for my Seasonal Spuffy day coming up that I was like 'wait wait wait! Icons?! what am I thinking?!' and then I went looking for music and I've always loved this song and then I sat and actually worked it and it kinda just flowed and then I posted and sat back with a proud smile on my face thinking I'd done something nice for someone who offered to help me out and who's post are always so great and who's comments make my lips crack because I'll be smiling all day after them

watching your vids is a REWARDING EXPERIENCE <---for example makes my eyes all watery to the point I have to slap myself a little to GET IT TOGETHER!... and then yeah...

Everyone's their own worst critic right? And I'm telling you right now nothing you say could be as bad as what I tell myself lol. It's one of the reasons having completed projects on my computer is driving me insane...they aren't public anywhere and the longer they sit the more I feel the need to change them lol

While making videos is a rewarding and fun experience for myself, the reason they are public is because I feel if other like minded people just don't feel it than I'm not doing whatever fandom I happen to be vidding justice. SO YOU MUST LET ME KNOW! I PROMISE NOT TO CRY! :)

no but that's just the problem, dude, I have no criticisms of your work. I'm mostly just marvelling at the structure and motifs and everything you're doing. and I am pretty picky/critical with fanvids, so it's not like I'm just easily pleased. YOU ARE JUST A CHAMP. :D

HOWEVER. I will certainly keep in mind your openness to being criticized, lol, should any complaints come to mind in future!
